Mesh Conference Toronto #meshcon

How is the web evolving? What online trends will next impact how we live, work, play? Who are the people involved in discovering this – and how can you meet them?

These are just a few of the areas that 2013’s mesh conference will cover. Located in Toronto’s Allstream Centre, this highly-anticipated two-day event is quickly approaching — May 15th and 16th! The name ‘mesh’ says it all: over 700 attendees will be encouraged to fully connect with ideas, thought leaders, strategies and new technologies. More than 60 top thought-leaders will be giving detailed presentations and answering audience questions to create a truly interactive experience. There’s a reason it’s described as “Canada’s Premier Digital Conference.”

6S is thrilled to be one of the sponsors of mesh 2013. You’ll be able to spot me networking with speakers such as Mark Evans (ME Consulting), Matthew Ingram ( and Mike McDerment (FreshBooks). 6S previously sponsored meshwest 2012 in Vancouver, and we can’t wait to soak up all of this year’s sessions. Here’s a sampling of a few:

  • News as an Algorithm: The evolution of how people discover and consume news; developments in news technology, personalization and social networks
  • The Battle for Control of the Web: Exploring the growing battle between state-control and censorship of the Web; panelists include David Weinberger (The Open Library Project)
  • Education Beyond the Classroom: How education systems are undergoing huge structural and cultural changes; new tools to engage and drive learning
  • Rethinking the Value of Online Readership: The Future of Journalism: A keynote conversation with Josh Benton (Nieman Journalism Lab)
  • Regardless of your industry, there’s relevance in these sessions for everyone. Developments in the digital world are bound to affect us all. As an agency, 6S is constantly aiming to learn, adapt and evolve with these changes, and events like mesh are a great way for us to interact in the Canadian digital community.

We hope to see you there, or engage with you via social media using the hashtag #meshcon.
