Every year, websites worldwide compete for top marks in the Interactive Media Awards. These awards honour outstanding achievements in website development: factors like design, usability, content and functionality are extensively adjudicated. This year, featured judges came from companies such as Microsoft, American Express, the New York Times and more. 2012’s Professional Services section received over 160 entries, and 6S’s site was one of them.
We launched our new website in November of 2012, partnering with Vancouver-based design studio Cedar Made Design to create a site that was a dramatic departure from our last. Cedar Made did a fantastic job in helping us achieve our vision: an elegantly visual canvas to showcase both our clients’ stories and the stories of 6S. We took things a step further, implementing responsive design to ensure an optimal viewing experience for everyone — whether you’re using a smartphone or a desktop, our site will conform instantly to fit the device.
6S and Cedar Made were both incredibly pleased to discover we’d won 2012’s ‘Best In Class’ IMA Award for Professional Services websites. Each site was graded on a points-based system with detailed criteria — the 6S site achieved an impressive score of 489/500. Our certificate is available for viewing here. We were honoured to be considered among a wide variety of expertly-designed websites.
6S would like to thank the IMA for the award and their time spent judging our site. Here’s to recognizing the work of great web development!
