The Challenge

1-800-GOT-JUNK? were initially measuring their website traffic through Omniture. This fee-based service was costing them more than $10,000 annually. Unfortunately it had not been installed properly – which resulted in important business decisions being made based on potentially inaccurate data.

The Solution

To fix the issue of incorrect data being tracked, and to help 1-800-Got-Junk better understand their visitors website activity, 6S Marketing did the following:

  • Implemented Google Analytics, which is a free service, to ensure that data results were accurate and consistent.
  • Taking the implementation of Google Analytics a step further, 6S Marketing used their in-depth knowledge of Google Analytics to create a custom installation. This included a roll-up profile that would track data accurately across 1-800-GOT-JUNK?’s different franchise websites, capturing global traffic.
  • Custom variables were implemented to track franchise partner activity. These helped 1-800-Got-Junk assess how well each franchise partner is performing.

The Result

Along with franchise partners now being able to extract web data specifically relevant to them, 1-800-Got-Junk saves approximately $10,000.00 per year in software fees.
