Click-to-Call in AdWords!

Just launched this January 2010, location-specific phone numbers related to an advertiser’s business will now be displayed beside destination URL’s in mobile ads that appear on high-end mobile devices.

Users will be able to “Click-to-Call” a business just like they click to visit a website in Google.

Advertisers and business owners can view the number of calls that resulted from a click on their ad in the campaign summary section of AdWords. This can be viewed by segmenting clicks by “Click Type” on the “Filter and Views” drop down menu.

To take advantage of these new reporting and targeting capabilities, ensure your campaign is targeting “iPhones and other mobile devices” under the “Campaign Settings”  tab in AdWords.
