At 6S Marketing, one of our greatest joys is being able to lend our digital expertise to emerging businesses with strong ambition. We believe the internet holds uncapped potential for small and medium-sized businesses to grow. We’ve seen it happen so often that this belief is one of our company’s core values!
As a Google Partner agency, we were approached to select a business which encapsulated this ambition, and nominate them in the 2014 Google eTown Awards. These awards are a celebration of businesses who embrace the internet as a means to grow their business and contribute to the economic growth of their community.
6S Marketing is proud to have our client Superfly Ziplines recognized as an outstanding business representing the 2014 Google eTown Award-winning municipality of Whistler, BC!
In the summer of 2013, Kirby Brown, CEO of Superfly Ziplines, came to 6S with the goal of making their business a must-do experience for tourists in Whistler. Built as Canada’s longest ziplines, traversing the spectacular scenery of BC mountain ranges, Superfly has all the hallmarks of a true Whistler hot spot.
Kirby made it clear that competing in a world-class tourism destination was no easy feat. He was determined to boost Superfly’s online impact, capturing potential customers prior to their arrival in Whistler. Since 6S has worked with local businesses in Whistler for many years, we were excited to use our local market knowledge to build digital presence from the ground up.
Our Superfly strategy included:
- Working closely with the fantastic Superfly design and development team as they prepared their website for launch, ensuring the site was equipped to meet marketing goals
- Implementing Google Analytics so Kirby and his team could easily access the business intelligence they needed to make quick, informed decisions
- Developing a scalable advertising campaign on the Google AdWords platform to ensure the Superfly brand was top-of-mind to its target market
Now, a year after the website launch, the results are a high-flying success. In the words of Kirby,
“With the annual average purchase netting us $100-150 in revenue and most customers to the site looking to book for multiple people, our return on investment has been monumental.”
The success of Superfly’s website and online marketing campaign has not only helped grow the company, but has also allowed them to give back through their involvement in the Playground Builders project. This Whistler-based charity helps facilitate the building of safe play areas for children in conflict zones around the world.
