Chris and John started with a simple concept – provide outstanding Internet marketing services while always focusing on return on investment for clients. From humble roots (the first 6S office was in Chris’ apartment), 6S has grown to be one of the leading Internet marketing companies in North America, and the largest of its kind in Canada.
Today, the 6S team is comprised of talented, experienced and diverse people that strive towards this same goal.

Chris Breikss – 6S Marketing Co-Founder & Director
Chris Breikss is widely recognized and regarded as being a man of ideas, innovation and boundless energy. He began utilizing the Internet as soon as it became possible to launch a website. Eleven years, and hundreds of websites later, Chris has not looked back. An entrepreneur at heart, Chris recognized a trend pointing to significant business potential in internet marketing and search engine optimization, and in 2000, 6S Marketing was born.
Prior to beginning and building 6S, Chris co-founded multiple internet-based companies. OnRes Systems Inc., a leading software company was sold in 2005, and the popular local tourism portal, DiscoverVancouver.com, which was sold in 2006.
Chris is a sought after speaker in the industry and has lectured on Internet Marketing at various conferences and venues including the University of British Columbia, E-BC, the Massive Technology Show and the International Internet Marketing Association. He regularly attends conferences and professional development seminars across North America to educate and speak on internet marketing and SEO.
In 2008, Chris was awarded the prestigious distinction of one of Business in Vancouver’s Top 40 Under 40. This distinction recognizes Vancouver’s savvy entrepreneurs making waves in their respective industry and within their community.
Chris volunteers his time to various cancer related charities including Camp Good Times, which provides children with cancer a chance to enjoy summer camp. In 2007, Chris captained the team, “Breast in Show” for the Weekend to End Breast Cancer and raised $63,000 for the cause.
He, along with his staff, also participated in the 2007 Harry Rosen Run-Off in support of the fight against prostate cancer.
In 2008, Chris was involved in Movember, a world-wide charity that raises awareness and funds for prostate cancer research. Additionally, with Chris at the helm, the 6S team donated expertise and internet marketing services to launch the website for imagine1day, a Vancouver based charity that raises money to support primary education for children in Ethiopia.
Chris holds a place on the Board of Directors for the Yaletown Business Improvement Association and works to promote and support is fellow businesses in Yaletown using internet marketing techniques.
Chris Breikss is energetic and infectious; a true leader, connector and motivator. Despite a hectic schedule and array of commitments, Chris does everything with a smile on his face and his mind on the next set of projects and ideas to take on.
John Blown – 6S Marketing Co-Founder & Director
John Blown can be described as a unique blend of composure, skill and business savvy. He co-founded 6S Marketing in 2000 and under his direction, it has become one of the most cutting-edge, progressive and results driven internet marketing companies in North America.
John is fluent, experienced and skilled and has been working in the field of internet marketing both as an employee and entrepreneur since his university graduation. It is his true passion.
John is an avid speaker and resource for peers, clients and the media on various aspects of internet marketing. He has had numerous articles published in newspapers and magazines pertaining to the internet and marketing industry and has appeared on shows such as GetConnectedTV and CityTV’s Breakfast Television.
John has also successfully co-founded and sold two companies, OnRes Systems Inc., a software company catering to the hotel and accommodation markets, and DiscoverVancouver.com, an online tourism portal.
John graduated from the University of British Columbia with Bachelor of Commerce degree, and he obtained an International Business Certificate from the School of Business in Vienna, Austria.
In 2008, John was named one of Business in Vancouver’s Top Forty Under 40 – an award that honors Vancouver’s leaders in business.
Since 2002, John has volunteered thousands of hours as an active member and Executive Board Member of the North Shore Rescue team and was awarded a Unit Commendation from the RCMP Superintendent for Bravery. John’s efforts demonstrate to his peers and the staff at 6S that community involvement and volunteerism is important and can always be accommodated. John has been featured in countless media stories for his work with North Shore Search and Rescue and is called on to speak about safety and survival on a regular basis.
It is often joked that John just loves everything “search” from search engine optimization to search and rescue! When it comes to searching…John is the man!
